The best way to listen to the dreams, is to put dreams into mp3 player, and go for a walk through the city.
Enjoy!
EMPIRE OF DREAMS
Can the way in which people dream about a place compete with its “objective” image? And maybe the form of a place seen in dreams should be more important? With my project, I want to create a record of collective subconscious of people related to the place and, in a way, send it a return message. I want to show it a mirror in which it can see itself and check if it recognises itself in the image reflected in the mirror.

SHARE YOUR DREAM
Visual
artist Justyna Gruszczyk invites you to share your dreams which are
connected with Belfast. This action is a part of the project THE
EMPIRE OF DREAMS. The dreams will be collected until the end of
February.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project consists in collecting dreams about Belfast from the inhabitants, but not only. The people do not have to be related to the place, they may even have never visited it in their lives. The only condition that has to be fulfilled lies in explaining their dream about place. The dreams will be recorded in MP3 format and discreetly played in public places at whisper level. At the same time, an oneiric and dreamy scent will be created and sprayed in numerous spots of the city, such as cafes, shops, etc. The scent present in these places shall be an impression of something smelling rather than a real smell. It will be subconsciously remembered by people and should evoke a tormenting feeling that they have to recall some fact, but they do not know what exactly.
